Job summary

VCA Animal Hospitals is seeking a Veterinary Technician for a full-time, on-site role at our Edgewater, MD location. You will perform clinical tasks, assist veterinarians, and contribute to high-quality patient care in a supportive team environment.

We value licensing (CVT/RVT/LVT), small-animal experience, and a willingness to grow through continuing education and a comprehensive benefits package. Competitive pay and strong team culture are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed veterinary technician (CVT/RVT/LVT) where applicable.
• Experience working with small animals is preferred.
• Willingness to train and grow with the team.

Responsibilities

• Physical examinations and patient assessment.
• Anesthesia monitoring.
• Surgical preparation and assisting.
• Dentistry procedures and care.
• Radiology imaging and safety.
• Laboratory work and sample handling.
• Venipuncture for blood draws.
• Catheter placement and IV management.
• Pharmacy duties and medication handling.
• Patient recovery and post-op care.
• Provide compassionate care to hospitalized animals.

Compensation: the Pay range for this position is $24-$30/hr
