VCA Charles Towne Animal Hospital in Charleston, SC is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team. The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, client education, and performing essential tech duties in a busy practice.

VCA Charles Towne Animal Hospital is hiring an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team!

About Us

We are an AAHA-accredited 2-doctor practice in Charleston, SC, offering a variety of services including Primary Care, Surgery, and Dentistry. We are located in the West Ashley area of Charleston, close to great restaurants, shopping, and the Greenway trail.

Our hours are Monday through Friday 8am- 6pm, Saturdays 8am - 3pm, closed Sundays.

About the Role

As Veterinary Technician, you will help create and maintain a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients and clients. Duties will include:

• Compassionate patient care
• Client education and care
• Venipuncture and catheter placement
• Radiology and diagnostics
• Lab sample collection and processing
• Surgical preparation and assisting
• Anesthesia monitoring
• Dentistry
• Medication preparation and administration
• Safe and effective patient handling and restraint
• Medical recordkeeping

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience as a Veterinary Technician
• Strong technical skills with desire to continue to learn and improve
• Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues and pet parents
• Able to work well independently as well as part of a team
