Job summary

Vogel Veterinary Hospital in Eatontown, NJ is seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Technician to join our busy four-doctor practice. We provide wellness and sick visits, in-house diagnostics (bloodwork, radiographs, ultrasound) and a high-volume spay/neuter clinic. This is a full-time position with additional part-time options.

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary technician experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Strong communication and multitasking skills.
• Experience with anesthesia monitoring is a plus, but we’re willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Obtain thorough patient medical histories.
• Restrain and handle patients safely and compassionately.
• Fill and dispense medications accurately.
• Run in-house laboratory tests.
• Perform venipuncture and administer IM/SQ/IV injections.
• Obtain radiographs.
• Provide treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.
• Assist with surgical procedures and patient prep.
• Monitor patients under anesthesia (preferred, but not required).
• Maintain clean and organized treatment and exam areas (laundry, cleaning, restocking).
• Support the doctors and fellow technicians in daily operations.

Vogel Veterinary Hospital is a busy, 4 doctor practice dedicated to providing high quality care to our community’s pets. We offer both wellness and sick appointments, perform in-house diagnostics (including bloodwork, radiographs, and ultrasound), and operate a full-service, high-volume spay/neuter clinic. In addition to routine surgeries, our team performs procedures such as dentals, mass removals, enucleations, amputations, cystotomies, and more.

We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team! Full-time and part-time positions available. Pay rate of $17-$22 an hour.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
