  • Has previous veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience.
  • Comfortable working with dogs and cats of varying sizes and temperaments.
  • Strong technical skills and a desire to continue learning.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting veterinarians with appointments, treatments, and procedures.
  • Patient restraint and safe, compassionate handling.
  • Venipuncture and catheter placement.
  • Collecting and preparing laboratory samples.
  • Running in-house diagnostics.
  • Preparing patients for surgery and assisting with surgical procedures.
  • Monitoring anesthesia and patient recovery.
  • Taking diagnostic radiographs.
  • Administering medications and treatments as directed.
  • Maintaining accurate patient medical records.
  • Educating and communicating with clients about patient care.
  • Maintaining clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment areas.
  • Supporting teammates wherever needed to keep the hospital running smoothly.

What You’ll Do
