Veterinary Technician

Department: Veterinary Technicians

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Dallas, Texas

Description

Join our team as a Veterinary Technician, where our focus is on providing a comforting environment for clients and pets alike. You will have the opportunity to perform technical responsibilities that ensure quality patient care.

Responsibilities:
  1. Intravenous catheter placement and venipuncture
  2. Administer medications (IV, SQ, Oral)
  3. Assist with radiographic procedures
  4. Perform diagnostic tests on blood, urine, and fecal samples
  5. Provide care to hospitalized patients
  6. Manage invoicing for patients
  7. Communicate with clients and provide education
  8. Admit and discharge patients
Qualifications:
  • Completion of a two-year or four-year AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program
  • State-specific license or certification
  • Externship experience
