VCA Cat Hospital of Chicago, a feline-exclusive, AAHA-accredited practice, is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) for a full-time role on a 4 x 10-hour shift schedule. • Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT) required.
• Knowledge of low-stress feline handling techniques or willingness to learn Fear Free/cat-friendly approaches.

Responsabilités

• Assist with surgical procedures, including anesthesia monitoring and recovery.
• Perform dental prophylaxis, charting, and dental radiographs.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the veterinarian.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform in-house diagnostics.
• Prepare patients and exam rooms for appointments and procedures.
• Obtain patient histories and monitor hospitalized patients.
• Educate clients on treatment plans, medications, and at-home care.
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.

The Opportunity

As a Veterinary Technician, you’ll play an essential role in patient care and client experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who enjoys hands-on nursing care, teamwork, and continuing to grow their skills in a supportive environment.

What You’ll Do

$20.00 - $30.00/hour

Pay range is negotiable based on experience, education, skills, and credentials. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is available to eligible new hires. Terms and conditions apply.
