Job description

Veterinary Technician (overnight, weekend required)

Veterinary Emergency Center of Canton in Canton, CT

Salary: $22.00 - 28.00 per hour

What You’ll Do

1. Perform triage evaluation of patients
2. Create and maintain treatment sheets
3. Calculate and administer medications, infusions, and blood products
4. Place and maintain catheters (central, peripheral, urinary)
5. Record treatments and patient observations
6. Charge for treatments and procedures
7. Alert the DVM to changes in patient status
8. Perform anesthesia induction, maintenance, and recovery
9. Perform radiographs and lab analyses
10. Interact with clients, provide updates, and manage visits
11. Handle and restrain animals of all sizes
