Job summary

Responsibilities include administering meds, vaccines, anesthesia support, radiographs, surgical prep, and client education. Ideal candidates will have experience in emergency care, proper animal handling, and meticulous record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Experience administering medications, vaccines, treatments and drawing blood.
• Experience providing emergency first aid or general nursing care.
• Ability to observe and report on animal behavior and condition.
• Skill in restraining animals for examinations or treatments.
• Experience preparing animals and instruments for surgery.
• Experience administering anesthesia and assisting during procedures.
• Ability to collect and record animal case histories.
• Ability to educate animal owners on home care.
• Experience performing radiographs or positioning animals for them.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
• Provide emergency first aid or general nursing care when needed.
• Observe, monitor, and report on animals' behavior and condition.
• Restrain animals for examination or treatment as required.
• Prepare animals and instruments for surgical procedures.
• Assist with anesthesia administration and surgical support.
• Collect and record patient histories and symptoms.
• Educate owners on proper home care and post-care instructions.
• Take radiographs and position animals appropriately for imaging.
