Job summary

Belton Animal Clinic and Exotic Care Center in Belton, TX is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician to provide skilled care to our patients and exceptional service to our clients. Our ideal candidate has experience in animal care, client communication, and veterinary procedures, with a passion for improving the lives of pets and their owners.

Salary ranges from $25.00 to $27.00 per hour, dependent on skills and experience.

Qualifications

• RV T certification preferred.
• At least 1 year of veterinary experience required.
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Familiarity with DEA, OSHA and hospital safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
• Communicate care instructions and status updates to clients.
• Perform lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
• Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
• Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.

Veterinary Technician

Salary: $25.00-$27.00 per hour dependent on skills and experience

Schedule: This is a full-time position. Team members work four days per week, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, with an hour lunch. Some Saturdays required, 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM.

KeyResponsibilities:

• Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
• Communicate clearly with clients, including care instructions and status updates
• Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
• Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
• Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.

Qualifications:

• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification is preferred.
• At least 1 year of veterinary experience is required
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
• Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.
