Job summary

Alliance Animal Health in Wilder, KY, is looking for a Veterinary Surgery Nurse to assist in surgical procedures, anesthesia monitoring, and post-operative care. You’ll work in a fast-paced specialty environment, supporting a surgeon performing 5-6 surgeries per day while also ready to assist with emergency cases.

Qualifications

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician preferred; experienced veterinary assistants with surgical experience considered.
• Strong understanding of anesthesia monitoring and recovery.
• Ability to perform venipuncture, catheter placement, and patient restraint.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for surgery and assist the surgeon during procedures.
• Develop and implement anesthesia plans under veterinarian supervision.
• Provide intensive nursing care to patients and monitor recovery.
