Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
• Board Certification in Surgery (DACVS-SA) or Residency Trained in Small Animal Surgery.
• Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Balance time between surgical consultations, advanced diagnostic workups, operative procedures, and post-operative patient management.
• Perform orthopedic and soft tissue procedures using advanced imaging, endoscopy, and hospital resources.
• Collaborate with Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Neurology, Avian & Exotic Medicine, and Emergency Services for integrated case management.
• Utilize CT, MRI, ultrasound, and endoscopy to support planning, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Mentor technicians and staff while fostering a culture of learning and teamwork.
• Contribute to growth of the surgical service aligning with hospital priorities and regional needs.
