Job summary

Veterinary Specialty Hospital Roseville in Roseville, California is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Surgeon to join its established emergency and specialty team.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary program.
• Board-certified in Veterinary Surgery (DACVS) or completion of an approved surgical residency with eligibility for board certification.
• Strong clinical judgment and surgical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaborative problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to compassionate patient care and positive relationships with clients and referring veterinarians.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat surgical conditions across a varied referral caseload.
• Perform advanced soft tissue and/or orthopedic procedures.
• Partner with Emergency & Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Diagnostic Imaging to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
• Communicate clearly with referring veterinarians, clients, and the hospital team throughout the patient journey.
• Collaborate with experienced veterinary technicians and support staff to deliver high-quality perioperative care.
• Contribute to clinical case discussions, knowledge sharing, and continued development of the surgical service.
• Help advance evidence-based medicine and a culture of teamwork, mentorship, and continuous improvement.
