Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists of San Antonio is seeking a 2nd Veterinary Surgeon to join our team and provide high-level surgical care within a collaborative, teaching-focused hospital environment.

We offer access to advanced equipment, a full in-house pharmacy and blood bank, and the unique ER Academy internship to build a solid foundation for a career in Veterinary Emergency Medicine.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD required or equivalent.
• State license in good standing required prior to start date.
• Active DEA license or eligible for licensure.
• Board certification (DACVS) or residency training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced veterinary surgical care and procedures.
• Collaborate with the medical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Mentor junior staff and participate in externships and teaching initiatives.

State Veterinary Board License (in good standing)

Experience & Skills Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required
• State Veterinary Board License and must be in good standing for the state in which they intend to be hired, before their start date.
• Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible.
• Board Certified Veterinary Surgeon (DACVS)or Residency Trained Veterinarian.
