First Coast Veterinary Specialists & Emergency in Jacksonville Beach, FL is seeking a Board Certified or Residency Trained Veterinary Surgeon to join a collaborative specialty and emergency hospital. You will work with a respected team of surgeons, clinicians, and technicians dedicated to mentorship and high-quality care.

The role offers a balanced schedule with no after-hours on-call emergencies, allowing time for family, the beach, and personal life while contributing to growth of the surgical

Our surgical caseload provides variety and challenge, with approximately 50% orthopedic, 45% soft tissue, and 5% neurologic cases. In Your Day to Day, You Will

• Balance time between consultations, case workups, and surgical procedures
• Perform orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries using advanced imaging and surgical equipment
• Collaborate with other specialties to support integrated case management
• Help shape and grow the surgical service in line with hospital priorities
• Work alongside a dedicated surgical nursing and support team
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations

What You Bring

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure
