Job summary

At Home Animal Hospital in Hawaii is seeking a friendly Veterinary Receptionist to join our fast-paced, clients-and-pets oriented team. This full-time role features a flexible 4-day schedule with one weekend shift, a welcoming front desk, and opportunities to grow with a busy, community-focused practice.

You’ll greet clients, manage calls and appointments, process payments, and maintain accurate records using our practice software.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience (veterinary or medical preferred, but not required).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Comfort with computers, phones, and scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Be the welcoming face and voice of our hospital — greeting clients in person, on the phone, and via text.
• Manage multiple phone lines and client communications efficiently and with empathy.
• Schedule appointments, process payments, and maintain accurate client and patient records using our practice management software.
• Collaborate closely with veterinarians and technicians to ensure smooth patient flow and excellent client experiences.
• Provide clear and compassionate client education about our services, preventive care, and follow-up recommendations.
• Handle retail transactions, assist with pet weight checks, and ensure the front desk and lobby stay welcoming and organized.
• Support teammates and welcome learning (yours and theirs).
