PetVet Care Centers’ Falls Road Animal Hospital in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Care Coordinator to join our team. You will handle front-desk duties, client communication, and hospital workflow to ensure exceptional service and smooth daily operations.

We value compassionate, organized individuals with strong customer service skills, basic clerical experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Training is provided and opportunities for growth exist within our AAHA-accredited, 24/7 practice.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent combination.
• Knowledge of clerical procedures and ability to organize files and records.
• Excellent customer service skills, providing courteous and prompt assistance.
• Ability to work at a keyboard or workstation for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, and lifting animals up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and during high-stress situations.
• Manages lobby flow, addresses concerns, calms distressed owners, and schedules appointments.
• Handles basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety and well-being.
• Assists with medication pickups, inquiries, and provides information about services and products.
• Inputs and manages data in practice management software, including billing and accounts.
• Assists with retail sales, weighing pets, processing faxes, and maintaining records.
• Reconciles cash drawer and performs end-of-day duties for accurate financial transactions.

Position Overview

Join our team as a Care Coordinator who contributes to the success of a high-performing organization committed to delivering superior care and exceptional service. Performs a range of administrative and customer service tasks, providing valuable support to the hospital. Within the veterinary field, this position aligns closely with roles often titled Veterinary Receptionist, Customer Service Representative, or Client Care Specialist.

Founded by Dr. Kim Hammond more than 30 years ago, Falls Road Animal Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland has grown into one of the most celebrated veterinary practices in the country, caring for over 100,000 patients a year and earning recognition as ranking in the top 1% of practices nationwide. Operating 24/7, 365 days a year, the hospital offers a full spectrum of care — from preventive wellness and surgery to avian and exotic pet medicine — and is well-known for emergency care for birds, reptiles, and small mammals from across Baltimore, Washington, DC, and Pennsylvania.

Schedule

• Four 10-hour shifts or five eight-hour shifts weekly, including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Weekends required, can consider Part Time role.

Pay Range

$15—$18 USD
