Job summary

Animal Emergency Center of Yorktown is seeking an experienced receptionist to support our veterinarians and front desk team in Yorktown, VA. The role involves greeting clients, triaging concerns, handling calls and emails, scheduling, and processing payments with empathy during medical events.

Shifts include Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday 6pm–2am. Benefits listed include vacation, sick time, education support, and referral bonuses, with background checks as part of eligibility.

Qualifications

• Experienced Receptionist with a minimum of 1-year veterinary experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome clients and patients, answer questions and triage client concerns.

Animal Emergency Center of Yorktown is an emergency / urgent care hospital in Yorktown, VA. Our technician and support team are tenured and highly capable of supporting our veterinarians with any patient needs that come through our doors! Maintain the visual appeal ofthe hospital reception area, greet and welcome clients and patients, answer questions and triage client concerns, answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution, schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow, check in and check out clients and process payments. Our receptionists offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to our clients and must be comfortable with various medical outcomes.

Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

Pay Range:Starting at $16, increasing dependent on level of experience.
