Job description

Cole Veterinary Hospital at Harmony is a full-service veterinary medical facility located in Spring, Texas. We provide veterinary care to dogs and cats, including routine medical, surgical, and dental services. As a Receptionist, you will:
  1. Receive and make calls to clients for scheduling appointments.
  2. Prioritize multiple tasks in a calm, organized manner.
  3. Maintain accurate documentation through client and pet records, referral documentation, and medical histories.
  4. Assist clients by providing information, instructions, invoices, dispensing prescriptions as per veterinarian’s instructions, and scheduling future appointments.
  5. Use hospital computer systems to document medical records and communicate with clients and team members.
  6. Manage financial transactions by maintaining accurate balances, collecting payments, and following cash handling procedures.
  7. Provide excellent customer service with professional communication skills.
  8. Educate clients on pet health, preventative care, and hospital services to advocate for pets.
  9. Maintain a positive attitude in all interactions with clients, pets, and team members.
  10. Show empathy toward clients and treat pets with compassion and respect.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Proficiency with standard office equipment.
  • Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures.
  • Flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays.
  • Experience with veterinary software preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and follow directions.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, good judgment, and stress management skills.
