Job description

Forest Creek Animal Hospital, located in Round Rock, Texas, has been serving the community for 20 years. We are a full-service animal hospital providing veterinary care to dogs and cats, including routine medical, surgical, and dental services. As a Receptionist, you will:
  1. Receive and make calls to clients for scheduling appointments.
  2. Prioritize multiple tasks in a calm, organized manner.
  3. Maintain proper documentation through client and pet records.
  4. Assist clients with instructions, information, invoices, dispense prescriptions, and schedule future appointments.
  5. Use hospital computer systems to document medical records and communicate with clients and teammates.
  6. Manage the hospital's financial transactions, including collections and cash/credit handling procedures.
  7. Provide excellent customer service and professional communication.
  8. Educate clients on pet health, preventative care, and hospital services to advocate for pets.
  9. Maintain a positive attitude and show empathy toward clients and pets.
  10. Utilize standard office equipment effectively.
  11. Possess knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures.
  12. Work a flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays.
  13. Experience with veterinary software is preferred.
  14. Work independently and accept direction on tasks.
  15. Demonstrate organizational skills and critical thinking.
  16. Possess strong communication skills, good judgment, and stress management abilities.
