Job description

St. Bernard's Animal Hospital is seeking an energetic professional to join our fast-paced, multi-doctor animal hospital. We are committed to providing the highest standard of care to our clients and patients. Our hospital features a fully equipped surgical suite, digital radiology, digital dental radiology, cold laser therapy, acupuncture, and an in-house diagnostic laboratory. Due to our client-centered approach, this role requires dedication to delivering exceptional care and communication.

As a Receptionist, you will:

  • Handle client calls for scheduling and inquiries.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks calmly and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate client and pet records, including referrals and medical history.
  • Assist clients with instructions, information, invoices, prescriptions, and scheduling.
  • Use hospital computer systems to document and communicate.
  • Manage hospital finances, including transactions and cash handling.
  • Provide excellent customer service and professional communication.
  • Educate clients on pet health, preventive care, and hospital services.
  • Maintain a positive and empathetic attitude in all interactions.
  • Utilize office equipment and have knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures.
  • Work flexible hours, including some weekends and holidays.
  • Possess organizational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with veterinary software preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with good judgment.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Pay of $16.00/hr
