Veterinary Reception, Animal Care Attendant

Location: Ottawa, ON

Blair Animal Hospital is currently welcoming a dependable and outgoing Veterinary Receptionist and Animal Care Attendant to join our team! This full-time opportunity includes a range of responsibilities that contribute to the efficient and effective daily operation of the hospital. Here are some attributes and qualifications we are looking for:

1. Take initiative and work independently
2. Excellent customer service skills; a genuine ability to put pets and pet parents at ease and create a welcoming environment
3. Comfortable with animal handling and husbandry
4. Ability to answer a multiline phone system and effectively track and book appointments
5. Placing outbound calls to pet parents for follow-up and future appointment bookings
6. Scheduling appointments; admitting and discharging pet patients
7. Invoicing/billing; creating estimates, obtaining pet owner confirmation, and processing payments
8. Veterinary Assistant (VA) or Veterinary Office Administration (VOA) program certificate is an asset
9. A love for all companion animals!
