Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston seeks a Radiation Oncologist to join our established oncology team, delivering advanced radiation therapy and working closely with Medical Oncology, Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging, and Critical Care. The role emphasizes mentorship, collaboration, and comprehensive patient care.

You will develop individualized treatment plans, utilize the Varian Halcyon system, and contribute to clinical education while fostering strong relationships with referring

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
• Board Certification in Radiation Oncology or Residency Trained in Radiation Oncology.
• Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.
• Commitment to continuous learning, teamwork, and advancing specialty medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced radiation oncology care for a diverse caseload of veterinary patients.
• Develop individualized radiation treatment plans in collaboration with the oncology team.
• Utilize the Varian Halcyon radiation therapy system and advanced imaging for planning and delivery.
• Collaborate with Medical Oncology, Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging, Internal Medicine, Critical Care, and other services.
• Mentor interns, specialty interns, residents, and support staff.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners throughout diagnosis and treatment.
