Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim in the United States seeks an Animal Care/Bio QC Associate to perform welfare activities and run bio-analytical assays for in vivo, microbiological, immunological, virological, or molecular tests. You will work within AAALACi, 9CFR, EU and VICH guidelines, handling testing, documentation, and scheduling under QC supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology or related science field.
• 1 year of relevant scientific/animal care in a cGMP or similar environment (for related degrees).
• LAT AALAS certification preferred.
• Experience with GMP documentation practices and data management tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine animal care and welfare activities as needed.
• Execute routine testing using existing animal and laboratory assays.
• Maintain reagents, supplies and calibrated equipment.
• Prepare reagents and materials; calculate results.
• Review results and test sheets; communicate status and concerns.
• Coordinate site-level quality and animal welfare projects with supervision.
