Job summary

Carolina Family Vet in Asheville, NC seeks a Practice Manager to lead day-to-day operations, financial performance, and staff development across multiple teams. You will drive strategic initiatives and ensure a high standard of care and client satisfaction.

You will partner with the MDVM to ensure compliant processes and sustainable growth while fostering a compassionate, patient-focused culture among doctors, technicians, and support staff.

Qualifications

• Full-time, on-site role
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in applied science, veterinary technology, or business a plus; Practice Manager Certification a plus
• Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance
• Knowledge of OSHA safety techniques including use of proper PPE
• Excellent computer skills including MS Office applications, office technology, etc.
• Basic math and ability to calculate medication dosages
• Strong communication skills
• Client service experience

Responsibilities

• Manages practice financial performance and drives revenue growth
• Manages practice expenses including pharmacy, supplies, labor, and facility
• Ensures inventory management with balanced stock and sales
• Collaborates with MDVM to ensure accurate pricing
• Contributes to annual budget planning
• Generates insights from performance reports to improve results
• Directs daily operations to support doctors and staff
• Ensures compliant practice governance and regulatory adherence
• Maintains confidentiality and handles payroll and HR processes
• Oversees vendor relationships and service quality
• Partners with Heartland Recruiting to fill openings
