Job summary

AmeriVet is seeking a Practice Manager for Elk Park Animal Hospital in Pagosa Springs, CO. You will lead the team, oversee daily operations, and drive growth while delivering exceptional patient care and client service.

This full-time role requires 3-5 years in management, finance oversight, staff development, and a people-first leadership style. Compensation range is $60,000–$75,000, commensurate with experience, with benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a managerial role, preferably in a veterinary practice or healthcare setting.
• CVPM, CVBL and/or a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or other relevant areas are preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated experience in P&L management and financial analysis is preferred.
• Compensation Range $60,000-$75,000 based on experience

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead all practice staff, including veterinary technicians, receptionists, and support staff.
• Oversee the practice’s financial operations, budgeting, billing and expense management.
• Lead client relations and ensure exceptional customer service.
• Manage daily operations: inventory, scheduling, office supplies, and equipment maintenance.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract and retain clients.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and record-keeping.
• Train staff on practice technology and work with IT support.
