Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Board-eligible by ACVP or ECVP or eligible to certify within defined timeframe.
• Minimum 3 years, preferably 5+, in veterinary anatomic pathology.
• Experience in necropsy, histopathology, and cytology with independent reporting.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic service: perform necropsy, surgical biopsy and cytology across species and report findings.
• Teach and mentor undergraduates; advise students and contribute to curriculum.
• Support disease surveillance, research, and development of specialized diagnostic services.
• Maintain quality assurance and biosafety standards; participate in accreditation processes.
