Job summary
PetVet Care Centers' Animal Eye Guys in Miami Gardens, Florida seeks a Veterinary Ophthalmologist (DVM or VMD) to join a collaborative team. You’ll perform comprehensive exams, diagnostic workups, and ophthalmic surgeries with strong support from technicians and a national network.
The role offers flexible scheduling options (3-day, 4-day, or 3/4/3) and a full-time 40-hour workload. Compensation ranges from $220,000 to $250,000 plus production, with signing and relocation packages up to $125,000
Qualifications
- DVM or VMD from an accredited college or university.
- Current State Veterinary License.
- DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.
- 1+ years of experience in a veterinary practice.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills with excellent surgical abilities.
Responsibilities
- Comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups.
- Client communication and education.
- Performing diagnostic procedures and surgery.
- Maintaining accurate medical records.
- Pharmacy duties and controlled substance protocols.
- Promote teamwork and staff efficiency.
- Work with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities.
- Monitor hospital daily operations from intake to discharge.
