Maine Veterinary Medical Center in Scarborough, ME, is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Assistant for our Oncology team. You will work with specialists and state-of-the-art facilities to deliver high-quality care to our pet patients.

As a VECCS level one Rarebreed practice, MVMC offers in-house lab, CT, ultrasound, and a collaborative environment focused on advanced care and professional development.

Competenze

• 2 years of experience in a veterinary hospital.
• Strong clinical skills including phlebotomy experience.
• Detail-oriented and well organized.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Self-motivated and team-oriented.

Mansioni

• Assist with patient care during chemotherapy, radiology, office visits and diagnostics.
• Monitor patients undergoing chemotherapy, verify doses, place and maintain catheters, record treatments.
• Perform routine and advanced treatments including injections, meds, blood draws, bandaging.
• Provide comfort and support to patients and their families.
• Keep families updated with medical and financial status.
• Support hospital team to provide exceptional care for pets and owners.
