Diagnose and manage small animal patients with suspected or confirmed cancer
Develop individualised oncology treatment and monitoring plans
Stage cancer cases using appropriate diagnostic testing and imaging
Administer and oversee appropriate medical oncology treatments
Monitor patients throughout treatment and adjust protocols when clinically indicated
Manage treatment-related complications and provide supportive care
Collaborate with other veterinary clinicians on complex or multidisciplinary cases
Communicate diagnoses, prognoses, treatment options, and quality-of-life considerations clearly with pet owners
Liaise professionally with referring veterinarians
Maintain detailed and accurate medical records
Provide compassionate support to clients throughout their pet's treatment
Contribute to clinical education and knowledge sharing within the veterinary team
Applicants should hold a DVM or equivalent veterinary degree from an accredited veterinary school and have completed recognised specialist training in Animal Oncology.
Candidates should be board-certified or residency-trained in Veterinary Oncology, or approaching completion of the relevant specialist credentialing process.
Applicants must also hold, or be eligible to obtain, an active Kentucky veterinary licence and any additional professional credentials required for the position.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent clinical judgement, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a compassionate approach to supporting clients through complex treatment decisions.
