Job summary

NC State Veterinary Hospital seeks a board-certified or residency-trained veterinary neurologist for a 12‑month Neurology Fellowship. The focus includes neurosurgery, neuroimaging, electrodiagnostics, epilepsy, neurodegenerative diseases, dementia, and spinal cord injury.

The role combines clinical duties with advanced training, featuring a structured rotation, dedicated research time, and opportunities to initiate focus clinics under mentorship.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree required.
• Completion of an ACVIM/ECVIM neurology residency is required or completed.
• Eligibility for North Carolina licensure or faculty certification under NCSU CVM supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and teaching support to the Neurology Service with two neurologists on duty throughout the year.
• Split time between clinic floor and advanced training.
• 34 weeks rotating on the clinic floor; 16 weeks dedicated to training and research in the fellow's area.
• Identify a feasible research project with support and complete it during the fellowship.
