Company Description
Veterinary Neurology and Imaging of the Chesapeake (VNIoC) is a state-of-the-art practice utilizing advanced diagnostic and surgical techniques to enhance animals’ quality of life. Led by Dr. Jay McDonnell, a board-certified veterinary neurologist with over 25 years of experience, VNIOC offers services such as MRI, CT imaging, and specialized surgeries in Cockeysville, Maryland.
Role Description
This is a full-time position for a Veterinary Neurologist-Neurosurgeon at Veterinary Neurology & Imaging of the Chesapeake. The role involves daily tasks related to medicine, neurology, advanced imaging, and neurosurgery. The hospital is located in Cockeysville, MD.
VNIoC is within Chesapeake Veterinary Referral Center, offering top emergency & critical care units in the Baltimore area: Pet+E.R. in Hunt Valley. We have a collaborative relationship with oncologists, internists, radiologists, ophthalmologists, criticalists, surgeons, and rehabilitation specialists, all in the same building!
Qualifications
We utilize an in-house 1.5 T MRI unit and Toshiba Aquillon AQ 64 CT scanner. All imaging studies are performed by our experienced imaging team, including an MRI technologist, licensed vet technician, and veterinary anesthetist. Our veterinary neuroradiologists excel in interpreting veterinary MRI, with near real-time verbal results and "wet read" options. Surgery can be performed the same day.
