Position Summary

The Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital (CSUVTH) is seeking applicants for a veterinary neurologist position. This position is flexible, ranging from a 0.50 to 1.0 FTE. Neurologists interested in this position or those with additional questions should contact Dr. Chad Johannes ([e-mail]), Executive Director, CSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital.

Required Job Qualifications

• American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM, Neurology) or European College of Veterinary Neurology (ECVN) board certification or eligibility by start date.
• Eligibility to obtain a State of Colorado Academic Veterinarian license.

Preferred Job Qualifications

• Demonstrated history of excellence in clinical work
• Demonstrated collegiality and contributions to a high-performance team
• Experience in the instruction of veterinary students, interns, and residents

Job Duties

Veterinary Neurology Services:

• Provide superior patient care using CSU’s advanced surgical and diagnostic technologies.
• Supervise patient & client care for patients presented to the Neurology Service.
• Participate in weekly case presentations and daily case rounds.
• Provide after-hours support for house officers.

Other Responsibilities:

• Opportunity for teaching residents, interns, and veterinary students.
• Engagement in continuing education and collaborative research.
