VCA South Shore Weymouth Animal Hospital in South Weymouth, MA seeks experienced Veterinary MRI Technicians to join our 24-hour emergency/referral/multi-specialty and general practice team.

The role offers growth and development opportunities within a collaborative, supportive hospital environment with on-site training and a strong focus on patient care and safety.

Formación

• Experience performing diagnostic MRI studies in a veterinary setting.
• Working knowledge of PACS and hospital software.
• Ability to prepare patients for procedures and follow proper screening and care protocols.

Responsabilidades

• Independently perform diagnostic MRI studies under the direction of a veterinarian.
• Create and modify imaging protocols.
• Review patient information and prepare for procedures following screening and care protocols.
• Coordinate patient flow through the MRI department to expedite service.
• Train and monitor technical staff on MRI equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment and document failures; notify management.
• Follow MRI safety procedures and report hazards.
• Present hospital estimates clearly to clients.
• Address client concerns within job duties.

VCA South Shore Weymouth Animal Hospital is hiring experienced Veterinary MRI Technicians to join our team at our busy, 24-hour emergency/referral/multi-specialty and general practice in South Weymouth, Massachusetts.

Compensation : $27 - $35 / hour based on skill set, experience and licensure status.

As a MRI Veterinary Technician , you:

• Independently perform diagnostic MRI studies under the direction of a veterinarian.
• Create new and manipulate existing imaging protocols.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of PACS, computer systems, and hospital software.
• Review patient medical information and prepare patient for procedures following proper screening and care protocols.
• Coordinate patient flow through MRI department, assisting in duties necessary to expedite service.
• Ability to run CT scans a plus, but will train
• Train and monitor technical associates on all aspects of MRI equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment, contacting support specialists when needed, maintaining records of equipment failure, and notifying management.
• Consistently follow MRI safety procedures in accordance with safety standards, immediately reporting any hazards or accidents.
• Understand hospital estimates and have the ability to present them in a clear manner to clients.
• Address client concerns and answer them appropriately within job duties.

Potential Schedule: Weekday, with potential rotating weekend day.
