Job summary

The Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital at Texas A&M University College Station is seeking a Medical Technologist I to perform moderate and high complexity testing across chemistry, hematology, immunology, microbiology and urinalysis, and to report results with quality control.

This part-time role requires a bachelor’s or associate degree with appropriate certifications, offers essential on-site duties, and emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork within a busy clinical laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and ASCP MLS/MT or AMT MT certification; no experience required.
• Or an Associate’s degree with ASCP/AMT MLT certification plus 2 years related work experience.
• Medical Technologist certification/licensure (ASCP/AMT) required or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Operates general laboratory equipment and automated analyzers.
• Performs moderate to high complexity testing across chemistry, hematology, immunology, microbiology and urinalysis.
• Ensures specimen integrity and reports results with quality control and reagent checks.
• Maintains quality assurance and assists with instrument calibration and troubleshooting.
