Job summary

Peak Veterinary Referral Center in Williston, VT is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Medical Oncologist to join a busy oncology service within Ethos Veterinary Health network. You will collaborate with internal medicine, surgery, radiology, and critical care to deliver advanced cancer care and drive clinical research.

You'll lead chemotherapy protocols, mentor technicians, and participate in education and growth opportunities, including ultrasound or trial coordination.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for Vermont state veterinary licensure.
• Completion of a residency in Medical Oncology.
• Board Certification or eligibility for board certification through ACVIM or ECVIM.
• Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
• Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for cross-specialty teamwork.
• A passion for continuous learning, education, mentorship, research, and advancing veterinary oncology.

Responsibilities

• Manage oncology cases in close collaboration with internal medicine, radiation oncology, surgery, and critical care.
• Oversee chemotherapy protocols and ensure compliance with USP 800 safety standards.
• Support daily client communication, including treatment updates, refills, and question triage.
• Mentor chemo-trained technicians, assistants, and support staff.
• Pursue growth opportunities such as ultrasound training, ECT training, or clinical trial coordination.
