Atlantic Veterinary Internal Medicine & Oncology (AVIM&O) in Annapolis, MD, seeks a Veterinary Medical Oncologist for a full-time role. You will deliver advanced oncology care, develop individualized plans, and work with a multidisciplinary team to improve outcomes and quality of life for patients.

You’ll collaborate with Internal Medicine, Surgery, Cardiology, and Radiology; mentor staff; and continue professional development in a supportive, learning-focused environment.

Qualifications

• DVM degree with eligibility for state licensure.
• DACVIM-Oncology board certification or residency training in medical oncology.
• Strong communication and client-centered care.
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to patient care.
• Passion for continuous learning and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced oncology care with individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate across Internal Medicine, Surgery, Cardiology, and Radiology.
• Oversee chemotherapy protocols and safety standards.
• Utilize CT, MRI, and radiation oncology resources for planning.
• Maintain daily client communication and triage questions.
• Build referral relationships with veterinarians.
• Guide pet owners through diagnoses with empathy and transparency.
• Mentor technicians and support staff in chemotherapy care.
• Pursue ultrasound, ECT training, and clinical trial coordination.
