Ethos Veterinary Health seeks a Veterinary Medical Oncologist for a full-time position in Dayton, OH. You will lead oncology cases in close collaboration with Internal Medicine, Radiation Oncology, Surgery, and Critical Care, and oversee chemotherapy protocols to ensure safety and efficacy.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree required.
• Board Certification in Veterinary Medical Oncology or residency training required or in progress.
• Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, client-centered approach.

• Mentorship, continuous learning, and teamwork are valued.

Responsibilities

• Manage oncology cases in close collaboration with Internal Medicine, Radiation Oncology, Surgery, and Critical Care.
• Oversee chemotherapy protocols and ensure USP 800 safety standards compliance.
• Support daily client communication, including treatment updates, refills, and question triage.
• Mentor chemo-trained technicians, assistants, and support staff.
• Pursue growth opportunities such as ultrasound/ECT training or clinical trial coordination.
• Work with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide compassionate patient care.
• Communicate clearly with pet owners during stressful situations.
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture.

In your day to day, you will:

• Manage oncology cases in close collaboration with Internal Medicine, Radiation Oncology, Surgery, and Critical Care
• Oversee chemotherapy protocols and ensure compliance with USP 800 safety standards

• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care

What You Bring

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure
• Board Certification in Veterinary Medical Oncology or residency training in Veterinary Medical Oncology
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills with experience managing complex oncology cases
• Excellent communication skills with a collaborative and client centered approach
• A commitment to compassionate, patient focused cancer care and quality of life
