Job summary

US Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service seeks a veterinary science professional to support NVSL and NBAF in diagnostics, prevention, and eradication programs. Qualifications

One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11 level.
Master's degree in animal science, veterinary science, or related field.
Completion of an internship/residency in a related discipline may qualify.

Responsibilities

Perform and refine specialized laboratory and animal techniques to support reagent production, diagnostic assay interpretation or development, or evaluation of vaccines and other veterinary countermeasures.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures and ISO-compliant processes, independently manage projects, and troubleshoot technical problems.
Provide technical guidance and diagnostic interpretation to state and federal officials, researchers, customers, and stakeholders via written and verbal communications.
