Job summary

Coventry Animal Hospital in Rhode Island is seeking a Medical Lead Veterinarian to champion medical excellence, mentor associates, and drive a high-performance team in a collaborative environment. You will lead initiatives that advance patient care, support professional development, and sustain a culture of growth.

In this role you will set clinical standards, partner with the Practice Manager to meet EBITDA goals, and participate in leadership and mentorship programs within Mission Pet Health,

Qualifications

• DVM degree and valid state veterinary license.
• Minimum 2 years of practical clinical experience.
• Servant leadership mindset and collaborative skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Understanding of hospital finance and operations management.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Outlook.
• Willingness to participate in leadership and mentorship programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor your DVM team with regular performance feedback.
• Set clinical standards and practice as an associate veterinarian when needed.
• Partner with Practice Manager to drive EBITDA and operating plans.
• Lead monthly doctor meetings and oversee externship/mentorship programs.
• Act as an ambassador for the hospital and Mission Pet Health in the community.
