Job summary

Mission Pet Health seeks a Medical Lead Veterinarian at our Cornelia, GA hospital. You will mentor associate veterinarians, lead clinical excellence, and partner with leadership to drive hospital performance. You will balance clinical work with leadership duties, overseeing monthly meetings and externship programs to foster growth.

You will champion growth, maintain high standards of care, and engage with the community while ensuring compliance with medical and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and valid state license.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities with a collaborative mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and client service skills.
• Familiarity with hospital financials and DEA regulations is a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Office / Outlook; tech-savvy and adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the DVM team, conducting regular performance discussions and development.
• Model medical excellence and drive high-quality patient care and client service.
• Partner with Practice Manager to develop operating plans and manage hospital performance.
• Lead doctor meetings, supervise externships, and champion growth and recruitment.
• Act as hospital ambassador in community engagement and events.
