Job summary

Englewood Animal Health Center, a Mission Pet Health partner in Englewood, FL, seeks a Medical Lead Veterinarian to drive clinical excellence and lead our DVM team. You will mentor doctors, supervise patient care, and partner with the Practice Manager to set standards and growth.

Qualifications

• DVM degree and valid state license in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience.

• Willingness to understand the financial and operating aspects of a hospital.
• Proficient computer skills (MS Office, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the DVM team, conduct performance discussions, and support development.
• Model medical excellence in medicine, client service, and efficiency while seeing cases.
• Partner with the Practice Manager to plan operations and monitor EBITDA and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate monthly doctor meetings and supervise externships/mentorship programs.
• Act as hospital ambassador through community engagement.
