Job summary

Roanoke Animal Hospital in eastern North Carolina seeks a Medical Director to lead clinical care and operations. You will oversee surgical and medical cases, set medical standards, mentor staff, and partner with hospital leadership to drive growth while maintaining work–life balance.

Qualifications

• DVM degree from an accredited university.
• Licensure in good standing to practice in North Carolina.
• Commitment to the highest standard of veterinary medicine.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee surgical and medical cases for all doctors, ensuring positive outcomes and clear client communication.
• Provide oversight of medical standards, quality of care and inventory; establish medical protocols.
• Lead staff development, mentoring, and performance reviews; support CE and licensure tracking.
