Global Talent Partners seeks a Veterinary Medical Director to lead a high‑performing, multi‑site small‑animal team in the Hudson Valley. This hands‑on, hospital‑based role focuses on medical excellence, clinician development, and outstanding client care.

You will supervise veterinarians and staff, uphold clinical quality, conduct audits, and drive service growth across sites in the greater New York region, with travel between nearby locations.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from an accredited institution.
• Active license (or eligibility) to practice in New York by start date.
• Proven leadership or multi-site oversight experience.
• Proficiency in clinical governance and quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop veterinarians and clinical teams; build engagement and retention through coaching and growth.
• Uphold medical quality and patient safety; conduct audits and guide continuous improvement.
• Provide clinical care as needed: preventive medicine, routine surgery, dentistry.
• Oversee permits, inventory, and controlled substance compliance.
• Partner with management to meet operational and client experience goals; analyze KPIs and act.
• Oversee onboarding and coaching for new doctors; support growth in clinical and surgical skills.
• Participate in talent recruitment and create excellent extern/candidate experiences.
• Address client concerns promptly and manage medical equipment needs with leadership.
• Ensure regulatory compliance including radiation safety and record-keeping.
• Travel between local sites as required; some early mornings or weekends may occur.
