The MD will mentor doctors, oversee clinical quality, manage hospital operations with the Practice Manager, and help grow services while maintaining work-life balance.

DVM required; active California license; leadership experience preferred; competitive compensation with bonuses and relocation options.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent from an accredited university (required).
• Active licensure in the state of practice.
• Active DEA registration and any required licenses/registrations.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a practicing veterinarian; leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set, model, and uphold medical quality standards for the practice; deliver high-quality care.
• Coach, mentor, and manage veterinarians; ensure clinical proficiency and client education.
• Lead by example to foster a positive hospital culture and high patient care standards.
• Oversee hospital operations in partnership with the Practice Manager and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop and implement strategies for service growth and community engagement.
