Desort is expanding its veterinary practice in Sacramento, CA and seeks a Medical Director for General Practice and urgent care. The role emphasizes clinical leadership, team development, and building a strong, compassionate patient-care culture.

You will oversee high-quality care across urgent and general cases, mentor veterinarians and support staff, develop protocols, and foster client relationships while ensuring compliance and practice growth.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary program.
• Active veterinary license or eligibility for licensure.
• 3 years of veterinary experience.
• DEA registration or ability to obtain one.
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
• Leadership and mentorship experience.
• Ability to effectively guide and support a veterinary team.
• Commitment to compassionate, high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality veterinary care for urgent and general medical cases.
• Lead and support veterinarians and veterinary staff.
