The Role

  • Ensures regulatory compliance, including controlled substance management and required permits.
  • Supports recruiting efforts and provides an excellent experience for candidates and student externs.
  • Promotes preventive care and effective client communication, assisting with resolution of care-related concerns.
  • Manages medical equipment needs and maintenance in coordination with leadership.
  • Works a consistent schedule that may include periodic weekend coverage and local travel between assigned hospitals.
Requirements
  • DVM/VMD degree from an accredited institution (or equivalent)
  • Active license to practice veterinary medicine in Florida (or eligibility prior to start)
  • DEA registration (or eligibility)
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
  • Several years of small-animal clinical experience, including proficiency in routine surgery and dentistry
  • Demonstrated leadership experience coaching veterinarians and teams; multi-site leadership experience is advantageous
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; comfortable in a fast-paced clinic setting
  • Proficiency with medical records, data review, and practice management software
