Thrive Pet Healthcare offers a Veterinary Rotating Internship in Equine and/or Bovine Medicine – after completing veterinary school, spend one year training in emergency & specialty care. You will be prepared to pursue additional specialty training or general practice/ambulatory positions.
Positions begin June 2027 at the following locations:
Candidates must be eligible to obtain a veterinary license in the United States and start by June 14, 2027. Applicants must also obtain a veterinary license in Washington State and hold a valid driver’s license by the start date.
Our rotating internship combines hospital and ambulatory work, with mentorship from boarded surgeons, internists, and experienced veterinarians.
Key responsibilities:
The schedule includes off time on weekends and protected weekday/weeknight time. The facility offers comprehensive surgical suites, laboratory services, advanced imaging, and more.
Interns will gain hands‑on experience in equine medicine with emphasis on orthopedic surgery, lameness, reproduction, and emergency/critical care. The caseload includes racing quarter horses and sports‑medicine cases. Mentorship focuses on building confidence to practice independently.
