Job summary

Country View Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Veterinary Kennel Assistant to join our team. Our Kennel team focuses on patient husbandry, care, and supporting the veterinary team with daily tasks.

You will provide meals and walks to boarding patients, administer medication, monitor for medical or behavioral concerns, and document observations. Kennels and treatment areas are kept sanitized and well stocked to ensure a safe, caring environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as kennel assistant or related animal care role.
• Passion for animal care and patient wellbeing.
• Ability to handle dogs/cats of varying sizes and temperaments.
• Ability to walk and monitor animals safely under supervision.
• Strong work ethic, initiative, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide meals and walks to boarding patients.
• Administer medication and monitor for medical or behavioral concerns.
• Document observations in detail for veterinary team.
• Sanitize kennels and treatment areas; keep supplies stocked.
• Help with general housekeeping throughout the hospital.
