Green Summit Animal Clinic in Lee's Summit, MO is seeking a Kennel Technician to join our compassionate, fast-paced veterinary team. Provide daily care, feeding, walking, bathing, and medicating hospitalized and boarding pets while supporting veterinarians and assistants.

You will help maintain a clean, safe hospital environment, document changes in patient conditions, and learn to administer medications. Weekend availability is required and reliability a must.

Qualifications

  • Previous animal care/kennel experience required.
  • Weekend availability is required.
  • Ability to safely handle and restrain dogs and cats of all sizes.
  • Comfortable performing physical tasks, including lifting, standing, walking, and handling large dogs, pet food, and supplies.
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning and disinfecting practices or willingness to learn.
  • Compassionate, patient, and calm when caring for sick, injured, or anxious animals.
  • Ability to learn how to administer medications and recognize changes in an animal's condition.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Reliable team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

As a Kennel Technician, you'll play an important role in providing compassionate care for our hospitalized and boarding patients. You'll help ensure pets are safe, comfortable, and well cared for while supporting our veterinary team with daily hospital operations.
