Green Summit Animal Clinic in Lee’s Summit, MO, seeks a dependable team member to provide daily care for hospitalized and boarding pets, assist veterinarians, and help maintain a clean, safe hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Previous animal care/kennel experience required.
• Weekend availability is required.
• Ability to safely handle and restrain dogs and cats of all sizes.
• Comfortable performing physical tasks, including lifting, standing, and walking.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning and disinfecting practices or willingness to learn.
• Compassionate, patient, and calm when caring for sick or anxious animals.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care, feeding, walking, bathing, and medicating of hospitalized and boarding pets.
• Monitor and document appetite, behavior, medications, and any changes in a patient's condition.
• Clean and disinfect kennels, treatment areas, and hospital equipment.
• Wash laundry and restock hospital supplies.
• Assist veterinarians and veterinary assistants with animal restraint, exams, and post-operative patient care.
• Clean and sterilize surgical instruments.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe hospital environment.

Job Description

Job duties include, but are not limited to:
